The Supreme Court has given relief to Samajwadi Party MP Azam Khan, his wife Tanzeen Fatim and son Abdullah Azam. The Supreme Court has rejected the Petition of state Government to cancel the bail of Azam khan. The UP government had challenged the Allahabad High Court’s decision in an alleged case to produce a birth certificate.
The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to cancel the bail granted by the Allahabad High Court in the case of making fake birth certificates. With this, the Apex Court dismissed the Petition of the Uttar Pradesh government challenging the High Court’s decision to grant bail to the three.
The division bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, Justice R. Subhash Reddy and Justice M.R. Shah said, “according to us there is nothing wrong in the order of the High Court, there is no reason to interfere in the order of the High Court.
On October 13, last year, the High Court granted bail to all three in this case. Azam Khan and his wife are alleged to have got the certificate of son Abdullah Azam Khan from two places and the date of birth is different in both the certificates.
Explain that Azam Khan, his wife Tanzeen Fatima and son Abdullah Azam Khan were given relief by the High Court in the matter of making fake birth certificates and misuse of the post, allotment of shop. The Court had allowed the bail of the three in two separate cases. Both the cases are registered in Rampur. The bail of the three was sanctioned in the case of fake birth certificate of the son.
The Allahabad High Court reserved the verdict on September 1, 2020 after the completion of the hearing. A single bench of Justice Siddharth had said that Azam Khan be released after the statement of complainant Akash Saxena was recorded. While Tanjim and Abdullah Azam have no such condition, they will be able to be released immediately.
