A local court of Delhi on Thursday transferred the sexual harassment case filed by Delhi Police against former President of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh to the MP/MLA court for further hearing.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Harjeet Singh Jaspal of Rouse Avenue Courts will hear the case against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader on June 27.
The case was transferred by Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mahima Rai Singh.
On June 15, the Delhi Police had filed its charge sheet against Singh before a Vacation Judge for offences such as stalking, sexual harassment and assault or force to outrage the modesty of a woman based on complaints filed by seven woman wrestlers, including a minor.
The ACMM at the Rouse Avenue Courts is also hearing an application moved by the wrestlers seeking a court-monitored probe into the matter.
